Couples booking a Redbird LA wedding can choose from 5 different private dining rooms, as well as the main restaurant and garden for an intimate downtown wedding ranging from 20-140 guests.

Redbird LA has become synonymous with sophisticated urban LA weddings. It blends historical architecture, modern luxury, and a divine culinary experience curated by Chef Neal Fraser and his wife Amy Knoll Fraser. 

This distinguished restaurant and wedding venue, located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, is steeped in history and elegance. The restaurant is located inside the former rectory building of Vibiana, a former Catholic cathedral that is now a luxury event venue. Originally built in 1876, the ornate Vibiana barely survived the 1994 Northridge earthquake. The LA Conservancy fought to save it from demolition, and it was meticulously restored, preserving its historical essence while transforming it into the modern event space it is today. 

In 2012, Redbird LA opened its doors and is a chic contemporary space that seamlessly marries its rich heritage with tasteful design. The restaurant features a variety of event spaces that each offer a unique and intimate setting for weddings, from the main dining hall to multiple private dining rooms. 

MAIN DINING ROOM

MAX CAPACITY: 200 standing / 140 seated
The main dining room at Redbird LA can be rented out for weddings. With a large circular bar that spans both indoor and outdoor areas, lounge seating areas, and an outdoor patio it provides a chic and contemporary venue for a modern Los Angeles wedding reception. 

EAST ROOM

MAX CAPACITY: 40 standing / 20 seated
Located on the second floor of Redbird LA, this private room can also be combined with the West Room for events and has an outdoor patio. 

WEST ROOM

MAX CAPACITY: 125 standing / 75 seated
Located on the second floor of Redbird LA, this private room is perfect for intimate weddings. Its balcony overlooks Redbird’s dining room below and it can be combined with the East Room for expanded use of the space. 

THE NEST

MAX CAPACITY: 50 standing / 36 seated
Located on the 3rd floor, The Nest at Redbird LA offers a unique location for intimate gatherings. The open-air kitchen allows guests to experience Redbird’s renowned culinary team in action. The space has both indoor and outdoor options for an event that flows seamlessly throughout. 

CARDINAL'S QUARTERS

MAX CAPACITY: 75 standing / 44 seated
Dark green walls, a fireplace, and large outdoor balcony make this a distinguished room for private events. 

THE GARDEN

MAX CAPACITY: 200 standing / 108 seated
The Garden is nestled in a courtyard-like area and is a unique spot for an unforgettable downtown LA wedding. Your ceremony and/or reception can take place underneath the olive trees, which at nightfall come alive with bistro lights. There’s also a staircase and herb garden which make for great photo opportunities, and guests can enjoy cocktails from the stylish outdoor bar. 

BISHOP'S PERCH

MAX CAPACITY: 30 standing / 18 seated
This is Redbird LA’s most intimate private dining room. Dark charcoal walls and an outdoor patio make this space perfect for small gatherings.
